Govair Rebuilt Points Plates

Several years back we had a strong demand for Dale brand rebuilt points plates. But over the years folks have opted to upgrade to the Pertronix Ignitors.

There are still, however, a lot of you who use the old reliable points and condensor system. This is a good system (All Corvairs came with them) but they have one serious weakness  - The points plate.

The original GM points plates were ok if they didn't get too worn - Now 40-50 years later the pivot point (which has no bushing) gets worn and two things happen.

The points gap becomes erratic. This is because the upper part of the plate (with the points mounted to it) can wobble at random causing the points to open and close oftentimes when they shouldn't.

To make matters worse the original design relies on this system to also provide electrical continuity from the upper plate to the lower. Naturally when this gets worn, and grease and contaminants load up and the electrical pathway gets interrupted.

OUR GOVAIR REBUILT POINTS PLATES  feature a bronze pivot bushing and a soldered continuity wire. This should eliminate any future problems with your points!
