GoVair-Dale DISTRIBUTORS

Picture of a Basic level distributor

We bought out Dale Manufacturings line of rebuilt distributors a few months ago. We are now to the place where we can offer again Dale-style rebuilt distributors!

These new GoVair-Dale distributors feature bonded drive gears, surface ground shaft washers to hold clearance to a minimum, the Dale double bushing system using newly machined sintered bronze shaft bushings custom fitted to every shaft.

All other parts are cleaned and inspected to make sure that they are correct for your engine. If you order a distributor with a points plate it is a Dale Style plate with welded ground wire and bronze pivot bushing. Also included is a new Dale points wire and grommet. The gasket that is included with all levels of distributor is even cut using original Dale tooling!

 GoVair-Dale Distributors are the best!

JUNE AND JULY SPECIALS ON 95HP 110HP AND 102HP DISTRIBUTORS - NO CORE CHARGE!

A) BASIC BARE   - This is a correct distributor housing, correct shaft with double bushings installed and hone-fitted. The shaft washers are also fitted for clearance and a new pin and gear are installed. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. (No weights, no cam, no springs, no points plate etc.)  A mounting gasket is also included.         $49.50

B) BASIC MINUS - Just like a Basic Bare but the correct cam, weights and springs are included.    $59.50

C) BASIC -  same as a Basic Minus but a Corvair Underground rebuilt points plate is also included*    $89.50

D) BASIC IGNITOR  - same as a Basic but instead of a points plate you get an Ignitor I electronic ignition (Which has its own points plate).  $124.50

E) SUPER  -  Same as a basic but includes a new distributor cap, points, rotor and condensor.    $119.50

F) SUPER IGNITOR  - Just like the regular Super but has an Ignitor electronic ignition instead of points and condensor.  $139.50

All Ignitor distributors have Ignitor I systems. If you want an Ignitor II just say so and add $30.00 to the price.

NOTES -  * The points plate is an important part of any distributor rebuild. The original design plates have no bushing and eventually wear at the pivot plate shaft. This causes erratic opening and closing of the points and also can interrupt the points ground. This will manifest itself in missing, hesitation, backfiring and overall poor -to-terrible engine operation.

            GoVair-Dale style POINTS PLATE WIRES

As with the bolted flywheels and the distributors we also acquired the rights, materials and tooling to Dale's line of repro points plate wires.  Yes, there are others you could buy but they don't use proper wire and use generic fittings. Oh yeah, and they cost more - What's with that?

If you still use points and condenser then replace this wire! And old one could fail at any time and you'd be stranded.  Cheap insurance.
