Security Issues: We have taken precautions to protect the privacy of your credit card information. The Corvair Underground Web Site utilizes Secure Socket Layers (SSL) technology which allows us to establish a secure, encrypted connection for our customers. Once a secure connection is established, any information that is sent through our Secure Server , such as data entered into a form, is encrypted so that even if the transmission is intercepted or misdirected it cannot be read.
 


How to Order Online:  Order Form
Use The Corvair Book to assist you with filling out the form. Part numbers and page numbers help us move the order through more efficiently (and helps us cross-check for mistakes), but they are not always absolutely necessary. You can fill in the price information if you want but we always put the current price in as the order is processed. Prices can change at any time so if a guaranteed price is important then you should call us to see if there has been a recent increase.  We also post our updated price sheet in  Adobe PDF format.

Shopping cart 
With our new shopping cart, it is necessary to create an account to place an order.  On subsequent visits you do not need to sign in before ordering parts, you will be asked to sign in during the checkout process.  The only exception is if you have kept parts in your cart on your last visit, you will need to sign in before checking out to retrieve those items. 

Why am I being asked to subscribe?  When you subscribe, that just means we may send an email to let you know about special sales, new items, and other updates.  You can unsubscribe at any time.  All information provided is kept strictly confidential.  We do not sell, trade or otherwise share your information with anyone for any reason.   For security reasons, the shopping cart does not store credit card information on the server.  if you have any questions about the shopping cart  you can send us an email or give us a call.

SHIPPING CHARGES 
Calculating shipping charges can be confusing.  We will figure your charges and add that amount to your credit card total.  However, if you would like to estimate your charges, use section V in the catalog as a reference. Just use the number prior to the part number (35)U-XXX  to determine how many ounces the part weighs.  As always, if you have any questions please call us at (503) 434-1648. 

IMPORTANT! We charge a flat $1.00 handling fee for all orders. 

Carriers 

We are now using DHL and Fedex as well, If you have a preference, let us know!
UPS
Parcels are automatically insured and traceable. 
UPS has a very low loss/damage rate. 
UPS will deliver almost anywhere except P.O. boxes and FPO or APO etc. 
PRIORITY POST will often be used for packages under 5 lbs. 
It is reliable, faster and usually cheaper.

Rush Orders

Use the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS area on the order form to request RUSH delivery. 

Return Policy 
Parts can be returned for a full refund (no restocking charge) if sent back within 30 days (Shipping and other processing fees not included). 

  IMPORTANT - this offer does NOT include: 

  • orders over $1000.00 
  • dealers orders 
  • special orders
  •   After 30 days the restocking fee is 20%. 
      After 90 days the part MAY not be returnable. 
      Parts must be returned in the same condition they were sold 
      Parts that have been installed cannot be returned.
      Shop installation Labor is not refundable. i.e. installing pistons on rods, and cam gears on cams.

     

    Returning Cores 
    On most rebuilt items you will be charged a CORE CHARGE unless you send the core in advance. 

     Acceptance of cores is based upon their suitability for rebuilding and we will be the judge in all cases. 

     Although we don't have a time limit on sending cores back, remember that a good flow of cores helps guarantee that we have that part on the shelf for the next guy.  

    Don't have The Corvair Book? 
    You can now order a new Corvair Book when placing your online order,  just use part # "CAT".  The catalog is $6.00, but with a parts order (shipping not included) of $50.00 - $99.99 it's only $2.00, and for orders over $100.00 it's free!  Catalog must be requested at time of order.  Not applicable on orders that are dropshipped from the manufacturer.

    C.O.D.  
    Please note: Presently, we are not shipping catalogs C.O.D. Of the last 20 we sent out, 18 came back as refused, which is a bit odd. Normally we'd get back 1 out of 20. Not sure what to make of this.

    Outside the U.S.? 
    If you live outside the U.S. it is easier to order parts from us than you may think. Because there are many options we feel it best if you contact us prior to ordering to get the most information.
